A nice example of web typography.
I struggle with the balance between open platforms (more adoption and reach) and defined, almost niche, products.
On one hand, yes, the more the merrier, but on the other, why is every feed full of garbage? Why can’t I read past five posts without feeling disgusted by a friend’s link to a grossly narrow article? Why can’t I bring myself to “unfollow” them? Why do the most successful social platforms turn into a black hole of vanity?
Numbers aren’t everything.
Maybe I’m the minority, but I can’t be the only one. All my feeds, 95% of the content is garbage. This is something I want to change - starting with the garbage I’m posting.
#2. Khoi Vihn and Mark Boulton’s Grids are Good presentation for SXSW 2007. A while ago you may think, but still incredibly solid guidelines.
