2 weeks ago, I went to visit the mobile sketchbook library.
Today, it occurred to me I never really posted an update on the book I’m working on for the 2014 tour.
There’s going to be a mixture of Ghibli tribute, slice of life, and randomness. All drawn with ballpoint and watercolor pencil shading so far. You can see the book is already buckling from the water.
Sorry Tumblfolk, I haven’t been sketching much lately because I’ve been heads down into a few freelance projects and a larger project of my own. That, and finding another fulltime gig.
Still, I can’t help but to waste time doodling. Here a few favourite form the past few months pulled off of instagram. I’m @susanl if you care to follow.
These are my favorite bits from mhci sketching I never posted! Container hands & red ballpoint sketchery. They will be in the new portfolio, but rediscovering nice things is.. nice!
Pages from my MUJI sketchbook. Happy New Year, again folks.
Found a few sketches on the bedside while cleaning up. These extreme on-surface shots look pretty good, will post full on shots when I get a chance to reshoot in daylight.
Also, while I will not have my nyancat facebook hack anymore, I can now selfishly put my art up in the top box like so. ;) Originally painted “Ode to Watercolors" two years ago. Wow, how time flies (like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana).
